High Voltage Battery Analyzer for Hybrid Electric Vehicles
BATTSCAN goes beyond the analytics of the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic system to examine the High Voltage Battery Pack on a modular level. Unlike an ordinary scan tool, BATTSCAN will detect more than a whole-battery catastrophic failure. It digs deep into the vehicle’s CAN (Controller Area Network) data and interprets it to provide the technician with a report on the battery’s current state-of-health. BATTSCAN is a voice guided Diagnostic App, allowing any automotive technician to follow the drive instructions for performing the HV Battery State of Health test.

About the DC-1000: The DC-1000 Battery Discharger is a powerful tool to determine the health of a High Voltage Battery Pack, as well as for repairing and rebuilding them. When it is coupled with a High Voltage Charger and the DC-1000 Accessories, the technician can provide the customer with an expedient, low-cost, and high-ROI repair solution for their Hybrid or Electric Vehicle’s ailing Energy Management System.
A few things that can be done with the DC-1000 that is learned in NxtGen training:
Power Testing: Determine how much capacity of electricity, or energy, each individual battery module can hold
Energy Testing: Determine how fast you can utilize the energy in each module when it is needed under peak load
Balance and rebuild High Voltage batteries, or simply perform State of Health checks.
Accurately charge or discharge a whole battery, single modules, or groups of modules
Perform a cycling process on Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries to restore them to up to 95% of their original potential

The DC-1000 Battery Discharger comes with a charger (power supply), Power and Energy Testing cables, NG testing adapters, wire guides (wire and cable management), and busbars.
